If there’s one thing Mando Diao have always avoided, it’s predictability. Their next album is being release in3volumes starting with “Stop the Train –vol 1” and “Primal Call –vol 2” already out. Vol 3 in 2023 will complete the releases and tie thelimited vinyl editions into a physical exclusive collection. A mixture of modern and old school, just like Mando Diao themselves.

Never a dull moment withMando Diao.Mando Diao is heading in to 2022 with energy and excitementas the last 18months havebeen a productive and creative time. Following the release of BANG in 2019andthe sold out tour the guys in Mando Diaohave been able to spend a lot of time in the studio. 2020 saw the release of their second Swedish language album and it garneredradio playlists, awardnominations, tv performances, critical praise and most recently a collaborationwith the legendary artist Tityio. The culmination of the project willbe a deluxe box setof all the Mando Diao Swedish material,including new and exclusivetracks,followed byan extensive tour in concert halls throughout Sweden in the winter 2022.

Summer 2021 gavethe band achance to get back on the road. A summer acoustic seriesin Sweden, punctuated by big rock festivals in Europe, has reinvigorated the band. Heading in to the summer 2022 the band already has a full schedule ofthe major rock festivals in Europe. During the summer 2020Mando Diao released an the All the People EP and are currently in the studio preparing more english material they describe as “zombie rock” for release in the Spring of 2022 in advance of the festivals.

If all that wasn’t enough,Björn has an extended engagement with the Malmö Symphonie orchestra for a project called “Infrsuet, Själens skrubbsår” during the fall of 2022 and the band has announced they have their next full length English album ready for release sometime in 2023.

In their career they have played more than 1500 concerts in more than 30 countries and have headlined major festivals throughout the world. Their videos have become viral phenomena with tens of millions of views on YouTube. They have released a B-side and a Greatest Hits collection and even an MTV Unplugged album and DVD. Many contemporary bands have come and gone but MANDO DIAO has continued to reach new heights and re-define popular music.

MANDO DIAO have always gone their own way following their artistic vision and interests. The road for them has never been straight and narrow as they continually test new territories; be it the Folk music inspired “Never Seen the Light of Day”, the collaboration with the Hip hop producers the Salazar Brothers that delivered “Give me Fire”, or the 100-year-old Swedish poems of Gustaf Fröding for “Infruset”and “I Solnedgången”. With a focus on innovation MANDO DIAO have been early adopters and testers of new technology like web communities before Facebook and Myspace, 3D film, Virtual reality art work for the 2014 album "Aelita", mobile applications and the worlds first pop album in 360° audio. Their interest in sports has allowed them to perform at major football events, DEL Winter hockey Game, Ski and Snowboard Championships, boxing events, writing the official song “Love Last Forever” for the Cross-Country World Championship 2015, as well as Formula 1 and DTM motor competitions.

MANDO DIAO is known for its classic rock and roll sound. For them music is a craftwork asthey each play several instruments, are producers and song writers. They started their career drawing heavy influences from rhythm and blues, the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Kinks. As they developed their own music, they took in more pop and dance themes, but have alwaysmaintained the energetic and attitude of early rock and roll paired with Björn's unmistakably soulful voice. Their live shows are highly regarded by the audience because they are an explosion of energy and offer a diverse catalogue of hits as well as unexpected moments.
